Child Safeguarding Audit March 2015

AUDIT BY THE NATIONAL BOARD 2015
The National Child Safeguarding Board of the Catholic Church in Ireland will, over several days, in the month of March, 2015, review the manner in which the Irish Capuchin Province has received and dealt with all allegations of child sexual abuse made against its members since 1975. The reviewers will further examine how the Irish Capuchin Friars have been implementing the Child Safeguarding Standards of the National Board wherever friars and those associated with them live and work in Ireland. The Irish Capuchin Province welcomes this important step and is co-operating fully with the National Board’s review. The Capuchin Friars invite anyone who would wish to inform us of any concerns, suspicions or allegations of sexual impropriety against minors, perpetrated by our members, to get in touch with us at this time. Please contact the Capuchin Designated Liaison Person, Fr Paul Murphy, 086 06 10 9 8 5.
