Christmas Greeting from Brother Adrian Curran, Capuchin Provincial Minister

“The fact that Christmas is almost upon us reminds us of the way in which God entered the world: born of the Virgin Mary like all children, wrapped in swaddling clothes, picked up, nursed. Not only him, but his mother and Joseph had to contend with the fact that there was no room for them in the inn.” Pope Francis, Dec 17, 2016

Friends, do we have room for Him and for today’s families of Nazareth, in all their various guises, in the inns of our personal and family lives? Let’s remember these days the words of Thomas Merton; “With those for whom there is no room, Christ is present in this world.”

I wish you all a peaceful and blessed Christmas.

May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace,
The gladness of Christmas give you hope,
The warmth of Christmas grant you love.
