New Directions for Capuchins in New Zealand
Wednesday, 09 March 2016
Our provincial vicar, Br. Seán Donohoe, returns to Ireland today having attended a special assembly of the brothers in New Zealand as they transfer from being a custody of the Irish Province to that of the St. Fidelis Province of India. Transfers like this are common in the life of the Order and reflect changes in personnel, age, mission and other factors that invite a custody to change in order to establish the best conditions for its growth as it strives to implant the charism of Capuchin life in a particular country or culture.
The brothers in the Irish Province send our prayers and blessings to our New Zealand brothers and especially to the new leadership team as they begin this new and exciting chapter in the Capuchin Mission there.
