Padre Pio Apostolate

Padre Pio remains one of the world's most popular saints. He died on the 23rd of September 1968 in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy having spent most of his priestly life in that same Friary. He was renowned as a great miracle worker even within his lifetime and since his death tens of thousands of miraculous cures have been attributed to Padre Pio's intervention.

Padre Pio Apostolate

In 2005 the Padre Pio Apostolate was found to further strengthen and support the Padre Pio ministry in Ireland. The Apostolate Team is made up of Capuchin Friars from around the country who lead Padre Pio Healing Masses in local parishes. Members of the team also visit the sick with the Padre Pio glove. To find more about booking a Padre Pio Healing Mass please email: provincial@capuchins.ie

Requests for Blessings with the Glove of St Pio

A new online booking system has been created to allow groups to contact the Apostolate Team to request blessings as well as parish group visits, talks and missions. The form can be accessed through the Irish Padre Pio website: https://www.padrepio.ie/request-for-blessings/

Hospital Visits

Hospital visits can only take place with the expressed permission of the Hospital Chaplain. Requests for visits to the sick or dying must be with the full consent of the sick person and can only be requested by their next of kin. It is not always possible to visit some hospitals or other care facilities and we work closely with the healthcare managers in relation to all visits. No donations can or will be accepted for blessings with the relic of St Pio by any Friar.

Parish / Prayer Group Masses, Missions, Talks

All requests of this nature must be booked well in advance. The Provincial Office will work with the local organiser to set out an agreement between the Parish / Group and the Apostolate Team outlining the scope of the event. All bookings of this nature must be made through the online booking form on www.padrepio.ie or by emailing: provincial@capuchins.ie
